GUJAR KHAN, Dec 8: A 20-year-old man was reportedly kidnapped at gunpoint and later retrieved by his relatives after exchange of fire between them and the kidnappers in a residential area of the city. Raja Asad Mehmood reported to police that he saw two armed men on a motorbike abducting his cousin, Ali Aziz, near his house. He along with his relatives informed the police and started following the kidnappers.

They spotted the house where Ali was kept in a room. According to the complainant, the kidnappers and their two accomplices opened fire on seeing them. Ali was freed from their captivity in an injured state. In the meantime, he alleged kidnappers were arrested after they were seriously injured. —Correspondent
