KHAIRPUR, June 1: More than 35 passengers, including women and children suffered injuries in two accidents on the National Highway here on Wednesday.

A Karachi-bound bus overturned near Rasoolabad when its tire-rod snapped, injuring Ms Zahira, Mohammad Sharif Brohi, Shahnawaz Machhi, his son Imam Bux Machhi, Ms Imamzadi, Ms Razia, Ms Irshad Khatoon, Ms Hanifa, Ali Gohar, Ms Ajeeban and her son Mazhar, Insaf Ali Buriro and six others.

Police moved the injured to nearby hospitals.

More than 20 passengers were injured in another accident when a Sehwan- bound wagon overturned on the National Highway near Tando Masti.

The injured were identified as Allah Bux, Shaukat, Afzal, Abdul Aziz, Manzoor, Abdul Jabbar, Gulsher, Gul Mir, Naveed, Ms Umeedan, Ms Fehmida, Ms Saeeda, Sache Dino, Ms Pathani, Ms Allah Bachai, Ms Sakina, Peeru, Shahrukh Cheema and some five others.

The injured were shifted to the civil hospital.

ARREST:Police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested three outlaws after an encounter near Shah Bhango.

Police said that the outlaws who were identified as Ghulam Sarwar alias Saroo Jalbani, Mehboob Sohag and Zahid Mari were heading to Shah Bhango to commit crimes when police caught up with them during patrolling.

Police said the outlaws were wanted in several cases. A repeater, a Kalashnikov rifle, a TT pistol, bullets and three motorcycles were found in their possession, said police.
