MINGORA, Dec 14 Three unidentified bodies were found and a policewoman and her brother were kidnapped in separate incidents in restive Swat valley on Sunday.

According to police the bullet-riddled bodies of two women were found at the main Green Chowk of Mingora city on Sunday morning. The identity of the women could not be ascertained so far.

Police have lodged an FIR against unidentified assailants and started investigation.

In Rahimabad area, police found another body of an unidentified youth.

The bullet-riddled body was lying along the roadside. Police shifted all the three bodies to district headquarters hospital Saidu Sharif for postmortem.In Nengolai area of Matta tehsil unidentified persons kidnapped a policewoman and her brother.

They intercepted her vehicle and disembarked the policewoman, Alia, and her brother, Mukhtiar, and shifted them to undisclosed location.

SNOOKER CLUB TORCHED unidentified persons set a snooker club on fire in Faizabad area on the suburb of Mingora city on Saturday night.

Police said suspected militants entered the club at night and torched all the belongings of the club and fled the area. The local Taliban had already threatened the owners of snooker clubs, CD shops, barbershops to switch over to other businesses otherwise their properties would be blown up with explosives.

Meanwhile, security forces have taken control of all important posts in Mingora and its surrounding areas since Saturday to ensure security of life and property of the local people. However, local people said that government had lost its writ in the district. They alleged that even in the regional headquarters, Mingora, life and property of common man were no more secure.

The militants have killed several political leaders particularly of ruling ANP and PPP besides blowing up their residences and other properties. As a result majority of pro-government elders of the area have abandoned their residences and migrated to safer places in Mardan, Nowshera, Peshawar and Islamabad.

The militants have also killed several policemen during duty hours at various points in Mingora city. As a result hundreds of policemen have either deserted or sought retirement.
