KARAK, March 13: All political parties failed to serve the masses, said Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senior vice-president Amir Muqam here on Tuesday night.

Speaking at a public gathering to kick off his party’s election campaign, he said that PML-N would steer the country out of the present crises within three years if it was voted into power.

The religious parties that were claiming to turn governor houses and chief minister houses into universities failed miserably to deliver when they were in power, Mr Muqam said.

He said that people experienced the worst kind of law and order situation in the country during the government of Pakistan People’s Party. He said that the unprecedented price hike had made the lives of people miserable.

The PML-N leader criticised the government for what he called its failure to control bomb blasts and drone attacks in the country.

Mr Muqam said that PML-N would field its own candidates against the JUI-F candidates if even his party leadership entered into electoral alliance or seat to seat adjustment with the latter in the province.

He alleged that JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman was power hungry as he supported Gen (retired) Musharraf and then PPP for the sake of government.

Speaking on the occasion, PML-N general secretary Iqbal Zafar Jhagra said that the country was passing through a very critical phase. The lawlessness in the country was a result of the wrong policies of the incumbent government, he alleged.

PML-N provincial chief of Pir Sabir Shah said that some forces wanted to dismember the country but PML-N would foil such attempts. He asked the people to support PML-N to save the country.

Mr Shah said that Balochistan was burning and innocent people were being killed ruthlessly in Karachi but the rulers were enjoying power.
