PESHAWAR, Dec 31: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ameer Haider Khan Hoti has been appointed as parliamentary leader of the Awami National Party in the KP Assembly after assassination of parliamentary leader Bashir Ahmad Bilour.

According to sources privy to the ANP, the party top brass decided not to appoint new party parliamentary leader and instead assigned the task to Ameer Haider Hoti to carry out the responsibilities of parliamentary leader in the provincial legislature.

Late Bashir Ahmed Bilour was senior minister in the KP cabinet holding the portfolio of local government and rural development.—APP
