ANP’s demand

Published August 25, 2012

KARACHI, Aug 24: The Awami National Party on Friday demanded that unfair constituencies that had been demarcated earlier be abolished and fresh demarcation be carried out judiciously.

Senator Shahi Syed, the party’s provincial president, said in a statement that the ANP was keeping a close watch on serious irregularities found in the electoral rolls.

He said that the party had already brought these irregularities and other issues into the notice of the election commission. He made it clear that the ANP would fully participate in general as well as local government elections. The results would show the strength of the ANP, he added.—Staff Reporter
