SWABI: Two persons were shot dead, while one drowned in separate incidents here on Saturday, said police.

Registering an FIR in Parmuli police station, Niaz Ali said his brother, Qaisar Ali and his friend, Sarfaraz Khan belonging to Mardan district were allegedly killed by their rivals in Naranji village.

He told police that the victims were coming to their hujra (common guest house) when they were targeted. The alleged killers escaped after the incident.

The police registered an FIR against accused Bakhat Sher, Bakhat Siraj, Nawab Sher and Awwal Sher and started further investigations.

The cause of the incident was stated to be an old enmity.

Meanwhile, a man drowned In Gohati canal while bathing on Saturday. Later, his body was recovered by the locals and handed over to family.
