KASUR: Judges of various courts in Pattoki on Monday went on strike in protest against “derogatory” attitude of a lawyer, who allegedly ransacked a courtroom after an adverse verdict.

A lawyer, Haider Yousaf, appeared in the court of Civil Judge Mubashar Awan in a case (Yousaf vs Nawab Din). When the judge announced the verdict that was against the Mr Yousaf’s client, the lawyer got annoyed.

In a fit of rage, the lawyer allegedly ransacked the courtroom and used rough language against Mr Awan, the judge.

The judge reported the matter to his colleagues, who went on strike and boycotted the courts.
