TAXILA: A man was killed by his wife over a family dispute in Losar Sharfoo in Wah Saddar police area on Friday.

SHO Inspector Yasir Kiyani told reporters that the husband and wife had heated argument, and then the woman smashed a log in her husband’s head killing him on the spot.

Police arrested the woman and handed over the body to the family for burial after autopsy at THQ hospital Taxila.

In another incident, a 15-year-old boy was crushed to death by a speeding dumper at Gadwal in Wah Cantonment police area.

Police said Faizan Saeed was going on his motorcycle when the accident took place.

Police have registered two separate cases and started investigation.

Separately, a man was injured in a robbery in Hassanabdal police area on Friday.

Police sources said that two armed men snatched a purse from a retired teacher at Ahmed Din Khan road.

As she voiced alarm, a passerby later identified as Sobba Khan tried to intercept them but they shot and injured him.

He was taken to THQ hospital where his condition was stated to be out of danger.
