SIALKOT: Pakistan Rangers (Punjab) Director General (DG) Maj Gen Azhar Naveed Hayat Khan, after assuming command on Jan 14, visited forward areas along the Sialkot Working Boundary on Friday.

Sector Commander Brig Amjad Hussain received the DG upon his arrival in Sialkot. He was given a briefing on operational, security and training aspects.

Senior Punjab Rangers officials said Maj Gen Khan visited forward posts and interacted with the soldiers performing duties along the working boundary here.

He appreciated the morale and state of preparedness of the soldiers. While interacting with officers and soldiers, he emphasised that all efforts should be directed towards guarding the borders.

He also instructed troops on forward posts that any ceasefire violations from across the border must be responded to aggressively.
