KARACHI: A brilliant unbeaten century by upcoming left-handed batsman Saud Shakil helped Pakistan Cricket Club beat Alamgir Gymkhana and retain KCCA Zone VI ‘A’ Division League Cricket Tournament title at the Lawai Cricket Stadium, Naya Nazimabad on Friday.

Earlier, Usman Khan of Alamgir Gymkhana also scored a dashing 190 with the help of 22 boundaries and 6 sixes off 134 balls but didn’t save his Team. 119 runs with the help of 8 boundaries and 3 sixes off 79 runs

Pakistan Cricket Club captain Adnan Kalim won the toss and asked Alamgir Gymkhana to bat first. They piled up a huge score of 308 for the loss of just two wickets in 40 overs,. Right-handed opener Usman Khan scored a blazing 190 with the help of 22 boundaries and 6 sixes and put on 181-run opening stand with Jaahid Ali (70). Faraz Khan of Pakistan CC got both the wickets to fall for 54 runs.

In reply, Pakistan CC achieved the victory target of 309 for the loss of 4 wickets in 36.2 overs, thanks to a brilliant century by upcoming left hander Saud Shakil who slammed 8 boundaries and 3 sixes in his 119 off just 79 balls. Fazal Subhan (34), Muhammad Waqas (29), Babar Hussain Agha (40) and Noor Wali (44) also batted well to see their side home.
