PESHAWAR/MANSEHRA: Three persons were killed and seven others, including four students, were injured in two road accidents in Peshawar and Mansehra on Sunday.

Two motorcyclists were killed when the bike they were riding fell from a bridge over the Bara River on Sunday morning, police officials said, adding the accident occurred due to over-speeding.

The deceased were identified as Amir Bhatti, 30, resident of Risalpur, Nowshera, and Irfan Massih, resident of Jehangira. Both of them are stated to be employees of Pakistan Air Force.

Police officials said that both the men received head injuries and died on the spot.

After conducting the post-mortem, the bodies were handed over to their relatives.

In the second incident occurred in Kaghan valley of Mansehra, a driver of Postgraduate Collage Mardan was killed and three teachers and four students sustained critical injuries when their bus met an accident after brake failure.

A Mansehra police spokesman said 27 students and their three teachers were on their way back to Mardan after a study tour to Kaghan valley.

He said the vehicle met the accident in Lohar Banda area of the valley.

The police spokesman said the driver of the bus died on the spot, while local people and the police rushed the injured students and the teachers to the civil hospital in Balakot.
