ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Allama Tahirul Qadri on Saturday said the coming three months would be decisive for the country and he would be staying in Pakistan during this period.

Addressing the workers of the party at Aabpara Chowk via telephone from Lahore, Qadri announced the launch of Tehreek-i-Qasas.

As the move against the government geared momentum, Tehreek-i- Ehtesab by Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) is set to be launched from Sunday (today). The Awami Muslim League (AML), led by Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, is joining the protest movement by holding a public gathering at Lal Haveli in Rawalpindi on August 13.

The PAT has planned to launch its Tehreek-i-Qasas in three phases.

In the second phase, the party will hold rallies in various cities which would culminate in a public a gathering in Islamabad on August 30.

Addressing his workers and supporters, Qadri said the final phase of Tehreek-i-Qasas would be announced at the Islamabad rally.

He expressed the confidence that the movement would achieve its objective by August 30.

PAT has launched the drive against the PML-N government for the killing of its workers in Model Town Lahore a few years ago.

Meanwhile, Sheikh Rashid said 2016 is the year in which the political career of PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif would end.

“He will soon be tried for the Model Town killings. We are not looking at the army but our eyes are at Justice Najfi’s report which should be made public.”

He said democracy that resulted in corrupt leadership with commissions and kickbacks was not acceptable to anybody.

Prominent among those who attended the PAT gathering included Raja Basharat of the PML-Q and local leaders of PTI, MWM and Jamiat Ulema-i-Pakistan.
