SUKKUR: Majlis-i-Wahdat-i-Muslimeen leader Allama Raja Nasir Abbas has said that the federal government has failed to ensure safety and security of citizens, and urged Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to change his policies.

Speaking to the media at the residence of a party colleague, Shafqat Qureshi, in Barrage Colony here on Friday, he said that Mr Sharif and his government were supposed to work for the benefit of citizens instead of serving American interests.

He claimed that Pakistan’s foreign policy had failed because it was unpopular in the country.

The government, he said, must revisit it and stop taking dictation from foreign powers in this regard. It must reset all its policies to transform them in accordance with the aspirations of the countrymen.

Allama Ali Bukhsh Sajjadi, Chaudhry Azhar Hasnain and other MWM leaders were also present.
