ISLAMABAD: A former minister belonging to Pakistan People’s Party was booked by Bhara Kahu police on charges of harassing his former wife, police said on Wednesday.

The case was registered on the orders of an additional district and sessions judge East, where the woman filed an application under CrPC section 22-A.

Earlier, the woman approached the Bhara Kahu police to get the case registered against the former federal minister, but the police refused to entertain her complaint.

The victim could not be approached for her comments despite several attempts. When contacted the minister for his comments he said he would call back in 15 to 20 minutes as he was busy.
