You may have many differences with the politics of Mr Altaf Hussain, but as a matter of fact, his viewpoint that ISIS is a bigger threat to Pakistan than Taliban, is seemingly genuine. His stance and statement about Taliban in Karachi, proved to be true. May Allah safeguard Pakistan from all threats, conspiracies, evils and vices.

@Karan India is an external threat and will remain so, till Kashmir is resolved. This IS and others are internal threats seeping in from other countries. IS from Iraq, Syria, Taliban from Afghanistan, Al Qaeda from Middle East, Lashkar e Tayba from Indian occupied Kashmir. But Pakistan armed forces and its people are too strong to take on and will win.

ISIS bigger threat than Taliban has been highlighted by international media for last 3 months, and when they said it they also meant for Pakistan. Why is AH wasting people's time through phone speeches telling everyone the obvious?He just wants to remain in the news now that impact of Bilawal Zardari and Khurshid Shah statement is waning out.

Those were the good old days (before 1947) when Hindu, Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, and many others lived in perfect harmony and the only enemy, common for all races, was poverty. Folks helped each other so much and strongly believed in well being of humanity. They enjoyed life together so much that life was a beautiful thing. Now Muslims are killing Muslims just because one is Sunni and other is Shia. I being a Sikh can not understand this insanity and the hatred in Muslims against their own folks. Where are the Imaams from Masjids ? Can they not preach in Masjids to stop this insanity? Why are the common folks silent on this? To me Sunni and Shia are same almost 99%. Are you fighting because the other is 1% different. Your holy Quraan teaches many, many good things which most of you conveniently ignore and just focus on one thing that is Jihad. Fight against poverty, illiteracy, natural disasters, epidemics, and many other problems with Jihad like power. This insanity will continue till the common man, who is standing on the side lines as an idle spectator, does not jump and stop his brethren from this un islamic act of killing each other.

Believe it or not, Altaf Hussain is highly revered amongst think tank circles around the world. I attended a foreign policy summit in DC last month and 3 of the 5 guest speakers mentioned his name as a powerful counterbalance to extremist forces, and Imran Khan was noted as having sympathies for fundamentalists.

@Zak For us...Kashmir issue is already resolved and LOC is the defacto border...Kashmiris r happy to stay in India rather than staying in Pak who already has plethora of problems from terrorism to poverty...and we all know how ur armed forces had its pants on fire in 1947..1965..1971..1999......forget getting Kashmir....u guys could not even hold on to Bangladesh which was a part of u...nevertheless...I can assure u...India is not a threat to Pak unless Pak minds its own business

ISIS should be taken seriously by this government and other top political parties and more awareness should be spread about this ruthless organization before its too late to tackle them and they establish themselves in this country like they have in the Arab
