US drone strike kills 7 on Pak-Afghan border

PESHAWAR: Seven suspected militants, including two key commanders of Badr Mansoor group have been killed in a US drone strike on Saturday.

The attack was carried out at Pak-Afghan border on zero line with Pakitika province along South Waziristan Agency.

According to sources, the US drone fired a couple of missiles on a compound near Komal village of Paktika province of Afghanistan.

Sources further stated that those killed have been identified as Aqalzadin and Ikramullah.

There is no confirmation yet from the Afghan government or the CIA which allegedly operates drone operations along Pak-Afghan border.

Drones are more effective than aerial bombardment but Pak govt took a foolhardy stand to stop them to appease the TTP for talks which did not yield any results. It is still time for military to stop taking sides of selective terror groups, launch decisive operations and assist US drones to strike militants hideouts if it is really interested to wipe out militancy from Pakistan. All out ground operations are yet to commence in NW and elsewhere barring a few air attacks which I am afraid may not yield any positive results.

@Last Word You obviously dont live in Pakistan or have got some anti-Pakistan agenda, ever since air strikes and Zarb-e-Azb was launched, the terrorist activities in Pakistan have come down to zero. Where as when drones were flying over our area, the terrorist activities in Pakistan, specially on our urban civilian population were on peak. These are the ground realities.

@indian muslim The free world should go after these terrorists where ever they hide. As Bush said they can run or hide but US will go after terrorists who kill innocents. I think Pakistan must than US for doing their job in eliminating terrorists. If Osama can hide in Pakistan without the knowledge of Pakistan military/Govt ( if you want to believe it) then the free world has to right to finish him and dump his body and feed the sharks in the oceean

@indian muslim , any sovereign contry must be responsible for act of those people who are live in your country and are involving killing people of another country . Pakistan claim a sovereign country but can't take responsiblity of terrorist attack which is laughed from land of Pakistan . In this type attack, various afghan shoulder and American are killed very brutally.if any country has suffered loss of his people then he is full right to launch operations against terriost .

all the TTP guys are in syria so thats why there is is a relative calm. now ISIS will be wiped clean by US so less TTP in Pakistan.
