G-7 residents fail to get clean water

ISLAMABAD: Most of the water filtration plants installed in the federal capital are in a poor condition due to the negligence of the concerned authorities.

Two or three out of a total ten taps installed at the filtration plants in Sector G-7 are working. A large number of residents claimed that they had registered complaints with the Capital Development Authority’s (CDA) concerned sections but no action had been taken. The residents near G-7 Markaz have to fetch clean drinking water from other sectors, they added.

Tahir, a resident, complained that the concerned authorities have failed to ensure the provision of clean drinking water to the residents of the sector and demanded them to repair faulty plants and taps to ensure proper flow of water.
