HYDERABAD: Qaumi Awami Tehreek president Ayaz Latif Palijo has said a few families are ruling the country and people are witnessing dynasties not politics.

In a statement issued here on Thursday, he said politicians got themselves elected only to get wavier in tax payments, indulge in corruption in the health and education sectors and get favourites posted on important positions.

He said that had they been serving people, the country would not have come to such a pass.

“We are having a kingdom and not politics in the country. Unless people from grass-root level are elected, such dynasties will remain intact.”

He said claims were being made to bring about a revolution in 48 and 72 hours and people of the country were being blackmailed in the name of revolution.

Nobody objected to revolution but this was not brought about like this, he said, adding that people’s problems of price hike, joblessness and corruption should be addressed.
