QUETTA: MPA Sardar Abdul Rahman Khetran of the JUI-F was arrested on Sunday in connection with a case of torturing policemen.

According to sources close to the Khetran tribe’s chief and former minister, he courted arrest at the Barkhan police station.

But officials said that Anti-Terrorism Force personnel had raided the residence of Sardar Khetran in Haji Kot area, arrested him and his six security guards and taken them to a Frontier Corps camp in Barkhan.

They were brought to Quetta in the evening.

The officials said nine non-customs paid vehicles and a truck loaded with weapons and ammunition had been seized from the house of the tribal chief.
