LAHORE, Nov 30: Justice Nasirul Mulk, a senior judge of the Supreme Court, took oath on Saturday as acting Chief Election Commissioner.
Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry administered the oath to Justice Mulk at a ceremony held at the Supreme Court’s Lahore registry.
Chief Justice-designate Tassaduq Hussain Jillani, judges of the Supreme Court and Lahore High Court and senior lawyers and officers attended the ceremony.
Justice Mulk was appointed acting CEC after the resignation of Justice Jillani who has been nominated as Chief Justice of Pakistan.
