GHALANAI, Nov 30: Three security personnel were killed and two others injured when miscreants attacked them near a post in Mohmand tribal region along the border with Afghanistan on Saturday.
Sources said five personnel of Swat Scouts had gone to a nearby spring to fetch water and were returning to the Yara Khel security post in Biazai tehsil when they came under fire at around 3pm.
Lance Naiks Mohammad Hanif and Nasir and soldier Mukhtiar were killed in the ambush.
Injured personnel Farooq and Zaheer Khan were airlifted to Peshawar Combined Military Hospital in critical condition.
