Quake hits Sibi, Bolan

QUETTA, May 13: An earthquake of moderate intensity jolted vast areas of Sibi and Bolan districts on Thursday morning, seismologists said on Thursday.

Officials of the Geophysical Centre in Quetta told this correspondent that tremors struck plains of Sibi and mountainous areas of Bolan district at 9:01am.

The magnitude of the earthquake was 5.5 on the Richter scale and its epicentre was located some 160 kilometres southwest of Quetta in the Suleman Mountain Range.
