MINGORA, March 8: The All Pakistan Clerks Association (APCA) has decided to launch a protest movement across the country from March 21 if the federal government did not accept its charter of demands by 20th.

A statement issued here by Mr Fazal Mabood Khan, central president of the APCA, revealed on Saturday that a charter of demand pertaining to the association’s demands was formally presented to the president, the prime minister, the adviser to the finance ministry, the secretary finance and the establishment division.

It was announced that black flags would be hoisted on all offices of government departments in the country and Azad Kashmir, followed by a pen down strike, protest demonstrations and processions on March 26.

Another meeting of the supreme council of the APCA would be held on April 16 wherein further line of action would be decided.

Mr Khan has asked all the office-bearers, specially the presidents in all the districts to lead the processions.

He said the price hike had already broken the backbone of the low salaried people and the government was not taking interest to solve the people’s problems.

He said in such hard times, the leadership of the APCA could no more remain a silent spectator and had the only option of launching a protest movement in this connection.
