CM offers jobs to ‘acid attack heroes’

QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has announced government jobs for Abdul Razzaq Khilji and his brother in recognition of their timely and courageous assistance to Dr Mahnoor Nasar, who was the victim of an acid attack at Civil Hospital Quetta.

Meeting the young men at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, CM Bugti praised their humanity, bravery and selflessness, noting that Abdul Razzaq Khilji had risked his own life to help the injured doctor.

He said such compassionate and responsible young people were role models for society and a source of pride for the province.

The chief minister emphasised that the government valued and acknowledged citizens who stepped forward to save lives and assist those in distress. He added that the bravery and humanitarian spirit shown by Mr Khilji and his brother set a positive example for the younger generation, which should learn from such acts of courage and empathy.

CM Bugti said the provincial government would continue to encourage and honour individuals who demonstrated extraordinary service to humanity.

Expressing gratitude, Mr Khilji and his brother thanked the chief minister for his support, recognition and announcement of employment, calling it a matter of honour. They also appreciated the government’s timely assistance and commitment to helping victims in difficult times.
