KARACHI: A middle-aged man was gunned down in Machhar Colony in a suspected targeted attack.

Docks SHO Waqar Kaiser said Mohammed Hashim, 41, left his home near Sherazi Chowk on a motorbike. Two armed men, ostensibly waiting for him, intercepted and opened fire at a short distance from his residence.

He sustained two bullet wounds in the chest and was taken to the Civil Hospital Karachi where doctors pronounced him dead.

The SHO said it appeared to be a targeted attack that may have been linked to personal enmity.
