Two injured in gas leak fire incident

GUJRAT: Two persons sustained burn injuries after a fire broke out in a house due to gas leakage in Islamgarh locality of Jalalpur Jattan city.

Rescue 1122 said that after an oven was lit in the kitchen, the fire broke out due to the gas leakage from a cylinder that too caught fire. As a result, Maryam Mazhar (45) and Kashif (40) sustained burn injuries.

Rescue officials extinguished the fire and shifted the injured to the Aziz Bhatti Shaheed Teaching Hospital where both victims were said to be out of danger.

ACCIDENT: Four people, including two women, were injured when two motorcycles collided due to speeding in the Totian area of Sara-i-Alamgir town of Gujrat district.

Reports said that the motorbikes collided due to the speed and negligent driving, which resulted in Abdul Hameed (75), Maryam Abdul Hameed (63), Saherish (29) and Muhammad Hussain (55) getting injured.

The injured were shifted to the Kharian CMH.
