Italy and France have agreed to launch a coalition to support Lebanon after the United Nations’ Unifil peacekeeping initiative in the area expires at the end of the year, Reuters reports citing Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.

Speaking in the French resort of Antibes after holding talks with French President Emmanuel Macron, Meloni adds they have also discussed a possible international conference on the issue.
