The Palestinian Civil Defence in Gaza has warned it has received only 20 per cent of its fuel needs over the past month, leaving crews unable to respond to many emergency calls, Al Jazeera reports.

In a statement, the rescue organisation said the shortage has created “a severe inability to meet distress calls” amid intense bombardment, as the famine-stricken enclave reels from Israel’s continuing blockade and restrictions on aid.
