Kasur police arrest Faisalabad SHO in murder case
TOBA TEK SINGH: The Crime Control Department (CCD) Kasur arrested Faisalabad Civil Lines SHO Zeeshan Khalid Randhawa on the order of Kasur DPO Muhammad Esa Khan for his alleged involvement in a murder case.
Sources said a youth was kidnapped from Kasur six months ago and his body was recovered from the Mamu Kanjan area of tehsil Tandlianwala sometime ago. When his killers were arrested by Kasur police, they revealed the involvement of SHO Randhawa in the kidnap and murder of the youth.
Meanwhile, Faisalabad CPO Sahibzada Bilal Umar also suspended the same SHO Randhawa for exceeding his powers. It added that the SSP operations conducted an inquiry into the charges against him and the report had declared him guilty. However, the press release did not give details.
DERAILMENT: The engine of Mianwali Express 148 DN bound for Mari Indus from Lahore derailed near Havelian in the Chak Jhumra area.
The bogies remained safe and no injury to any passenger was reported. The alternate engine from Lahore reached the site and took the train for its destination.
A relief train equipped with a crane was working to put the engine on the track when this report was filed. Inquiry had been ordered by the divisional superintendent to find the cause of the derailment.
ARRESTED: Arrouti police in tehsil Pirmahal booked seven farmers, including two brothers who tortured a buffalo and fractured her front legs for entering their crops.
Complainant Bashir Ahmad of Chak 765-GB claimed in his FIR that his eight-year-old son, Muhammad Fraz, was taking his cattle to the pond when one buffalo broke away and entered crops of two brothers, Muhammad Zahid and Muhammad Azhar, who attacked the animal with wooden and steel bars and broke her two front legs.
Police spokesperson Attaullah claimed that police arrested both the suspects and raids were being conducted to arrest others.
BAIL: Faisalabad judicial magistrate Muhammad Afzal rejected the bail plea of online fraud accused former Fesco board of directors chairman Malik Tehseen Awan.
He was presently in district jail on 14 day judicial remand issued by crimes division court on Aug 2 in eight cases registered against him by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA).
