RAHIM YAR KHAN: Six dacoits have surrendered to the police during a targeted operation in the Katcha area, said District Police Officer (DPO) Irfan Ali Sammo on Wednesday.

He said that gangster Qurban Lathani, who had Rs5 million bounty on his head, surrendered to police along with his accomplices during the operation.

Others who surrendered included Jahangir Dashti, Hakeem Dashti, Rafiq Lathani, Azam Lathani and Abu Bakar Imrani.

Police spokesperson Zeeshan Randhawa said that targeted operations were underway in the Katcha area. He said the option to surrender was open to those who were willing to give up arms.
