Arrest warrants for lawyer Imaan Mazari, PTM leaders
ISLAMABAD: The court of Judicial Magistrate Mureed Abbas has issued arrest warrants for rights lawyer Imaan Mazari and Pashtun Tahaffuz Movement (PTM) leaders Ali Wazir and Manzoor Pashteen due to their repeated failure to appear in a case concerning an alleged anti-state march.
The case, registered at Tarnol Police Station, accuses them of organising a protest that allegedly disrupted public order.
The court was expected to hear arguments on a plea for acquittal submitted by the accused.
However, due to their absence, the session was adjourned until April 26.
The court then proceeded to issue arrest warrants to ensure their presence at the next hearing.
