US Senator Bernie Sanders has said that “starving children is a war crime” as he reacted to Israel’s decision to halt the entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza.

“Netanyahu’s extremist government has halted all humanitarian aid into Gaza,” Sanders said on X.

“Starving children is a war crime.”

Quoting “UN leaders”, he wrote: “International humanitarian law is clear: we must be allowed access to deliver vital lifesaving aid. We need to get aid in and the hostages out.”
