2,340 Indian prisoners released: Kasuri

ISLAMANAD, April 7: Minister for Foreign Affairs Khurshid Mehmood Kasuri told the National Assembly that Pakistan released 2,340 Indian nationals during the past three years as compared to 547 Pakistanis set free by India.

The statistics placed before the lower house revealed that the number of prisoners released increased significantly during 2005 as compared to the preceding years.
