The Israeli military said it was carrying out “precise strikes” in Beirut despite a US-led call for a ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah, AFP reports.

“The IDF (Israeli military) is currently carrying out precise strikes in Beirut. Details to follow,” the military said in a statement.
