LAHORE: Dawn’s former Faisalabad news agent Haji Malik Muhammad Ishaq passed away due to illness on Thursday. He was 93.
His funeral prayers were offered on Friday and he was buried in a local graveyard in Mahmoodabad Colony.
His career for distribution of newspapers spanned over five decades.
Called by his colleagues as Maulvi Ishaq or Baba Ishaq, he was the most diligent and dedicated newspaper worker who spent most of his life in the promotion of newspaper readership in Faisalabad district.
He also played a pivotal role in the launch of Dawn newspaper from Lahore in the 90s.
