ISLAMABAD: A woman was murdered while armed men shot and injured a shopkeeper during a robbery, police said on Monday.

In the first incident, a woman was gunned down by two men who came to her house at Tamma, the police said. The deceased was identified as Shagufta Parveen.

The injured was shifted to hospital where she was pronounced dead.

In another incident, robbers shot and injured a shopkeeper at I-11/4, the police said, adding the injured was identified as Mohammad Asif.

Two persons raided Mr Asif’s shop and held up him along with another person at gunpoint. The shopkeeper started shouting when the armed men looted Rs11,000 and other items.

The robbers then shot the shopkeeper in the right leg and escaped.
