FAISALABAD: Five people and 10 cattle heads were killed in a collision between a tractor-trolley and a mini-truck near Mullanpur Chowk, Sadhar bypass on Jhang Road, on Wednesday.

The animals-laden truck smashed into an electricity pole after the collision.

Rescue 1122 said three people breathed their last on the spot and they were identified as Shahid, 34, Ahmad Deen, 44, and Mudassar Nazeer, 22.

Two others – Shafique, 26, and Tariq, 40 – were shifted to a hospital.

The animals killed included goats and sheep; it is not yet clear whether they were electrocuted as the pole had fallen on them.

Some eyewitnesses said five people breathed their last on the spot and they are Tahir, Jaffar, Ahmed Deen, Mudassar and Shahid.
