BAHAWALPUR: The Saddar police have arrested 17 members of four gangs of burglars and dacoits and also resolved the mystery of two blind murder cases.
According to Station House Officer Azam Kaloo, the police recovered 10 motorcycles, Rs2.1 million in cash and valuables from the gangsters.
The police also resolved murder cases of Zainab’s husband and of Ishaque.
CHARITY: An international charity and humanitarian organisation distributed ration, cash and gifts among over 200 deserving women at Garden town.
The ration included flour, ghee, sugar, rice, pulses and other edibles.
The organisation has so far distributed Ramazan ration worth 60,000 euros among poor people in eight cities, including Bahawalpur, Multan and Kashmore.
RUSH: A large number of passengers left Bahawalpur for home through public transport on Saturday.
There was a rush of passengers at bus stands. Bus operators violated coronavirus SOPs and overcharged the travelers. Several passengers were seen arguing with bus operators over fares.
None of the officials of the district regional transport secretary was at bus stands.
