The visitors scored 242-7 declared in their second innings, setting an improbable 345-run target for Bangladesh ‘A’ in the last session of the third and final day.
The hosts finished at 53-3 in 19 overs at stumps, with Tushar Imran remaining unbeaten on 24.
Shadab, who played three Tests for Pakistan five seasons ago, was included in the team after regular opener Saeed Anwar pulled out of the tour because of a wrist injury.
The left-handed opener put on 62 for the opening wicket with Taufiq Umer (36) and then received valuable support from Rashid Latif (29) and Abdur Razzak (41) after the visitors had resumed at 57 for no loss.
Left-arm spinner Enamul Hoque and off-spinner Fahim Muntasir shared four wickets.
Pakistan will take on the hosts in the first Test at Dhaka Wednesday. The second Test will begin at Chittagong Jan 16.
The tourists will then play three one-dayers at Chittagong (Jan 22) and Dhaka (Jan 25 and 26).
Pakistan captain Waqar Younis said afterwards it was good preparation for the first Test.
“The players had a good practice ahead of the first Test,” Waqar told reporters at the end of the match.
Waqar said former captain Wasim Akram, who was feeling unwell on arrival in Dhaka, was now fit for the first Test.
Waqar brought his lower order up for batting practice in the second innings and used batsman like Inzamam-ul-Haq for bowling. Inzamam took the wicket of opener Hannan Sarkar.
