ATTOCK, April 29: Expensive equipment has been stolen from the under-construction power complex of Ghazi Barotha Hydropower Project (GBHP), police said on Tuesday.
GBHP project manager lodged a complaint with Saddar police, saying that electric equipment, including bushes, elements and medium-voltage switch gear, was stolen from the power complex during working hours.
Similarly, SDO Wapda, Hattian, told the police that some outlaws stole 2,400 metre electric wire of main supply line between section 555 and 561 near Bagh Neelab village.
The police have registered separate case and started investigation.
INJURED: Six people were injured in different incidents, police said.
Three persons — Mohammad Ismail, Safia Bibi and Mohammad Safdar — received injuries during a scuffle with their rivals — Mehboob, Tariq and Basharat — over a land dispute in Thati Syedan village.
Similarly, a medical store owner, Shaukat, and his brother, Shamsul Islam, were injured when Khalid Mehmood and Tanveer Mohammad allegedly attacked them at Mohallah Eidgah, the police said.
Qamar Ali Shah sustained critical injuries when a pickup (PRK-6219) hit him on the G.T. Road near Haji Shah village on Tuesday.
