Lahore announces jr hockey team

LAHORE, Aug 26 The team management of Lahores junior hockey team has announced a 22-member team to participate in the MCB Junior Hockey Super League, being held at the Hockey Club of Pakistan, Karachi, from Sept 1 to 18.

The team was picked from the 250 probables, who had appeared in the two-day trials earlier.

Fullbacks Abdul Aleem, Mudassar Nazir (Lahore); Sultan Amir (Kasur). Halfbacks Hassaan Ubaid (Lahore), Mohammad Iftikhar (Kasur); Rashid Minhas (Lahore); Abdul Ghafar (Kasur); Javed Riaz, Ali Butt (Lahore). Forwards Abdul Khaliq, Bilal Qadir, Arslan Haider, Rizwan (Lahore); Hafiz Umair Akram (Kasur); Azfar Yaqoob, Muhibullah, Sadaqat Ali, H. M Omer Sardar (Lahore); Shafaqat and Kashif.
