Nisar knocks Michael out of CWG

KARACHI, Oct 6 Pakistani pugilist Nisar Khan knocked out Papua New Guinea boxer Michael Peter in the very first round of the bout in the 75kg boxing event of Commonwealth Games in the Delhi.

Meanwhile, another Pakistani boxer Nawaz Dad lost his first-round bout to Nigerian Sogbamu Waheed in 60kg category. Sogbamu won the match 11-1.

Pakistan's Muhammad Waseem will face Tennakoon Chaminda (Sri Lanka) in pre-quarter final of 49kg weight category on Thursday.—Agencies
