KARACHI, March 14 Recently-crowned Karachi hockey champions Beecham Hockey Club will face Al Sagheer as Pakistan Day Sports Festival takes off at 5.00pm at the UBL Sports Complex on March 20.


The festival organised by the Pakistan Sports Welfare Association in collaboration with the City District Government Karachi (CDGK) will also be staging cricket, basketball and football matches.


The cricket match on the 21st will see Shehryar Sports taking on Tariq Memorial Sports at the Tariq Memorial Gymkhana Ground in Federal B. Area, followed by a basketball match between Bounce Basketball Club and Nishtar Basketball Club at the CDGK court at Kashmir Road at 5.00pm the next day.


The closing ceremony takes place on the 23rd after a football encounter between Karachi Football Club and District Central Combined Club's team at 5.00pm at the Khajji Ground.-—APP
