Pakistani boxer in semi-final

KARACHI, April 17 Pakistan's Mohammad Waseem reached the semi-final of the Ahmet Comert International Men's and Women's Boxing Tournament by beating Turkish boxer Cagdas Yikilmaz 14-1 in Istanbul, Turkey, on Friday.

Pakistans other boxer Arshad Hussain lost his bout in the 64kg category against Ramal Amanov of Uzbekistan after a tough fight with 26-20 in favour of the Uzbek boxer.

Qaidr Khan lost in the quarter-finals against Turkeys Kerem Gurgen while national boxer Usman Butt lost his fight against Algerias Ourradi Abdelhalim in the second round with 5-0 as the score.—Agencies
