Faheem excels

LAHORE, April 27: Twenty more matches were decided in the third Punjab Under-16 Inter-District football championship in Sargodha on Saturday and Sunday.

Rajanpur defeated Chakwal 3-0. Anwar, Irfan and Tanvir scored a goal each. Rahimyar Khan and Multan were tied 0-0.

Four goals by Faheem helped Bhakhar to beat Khushab 6-1. Matiullah scored two goals. For the losers Nasir goal the solitary goal.

The match between Toba Tek Singh and Lahore also ended in 0-0 draw. A goal from Azmat helped Rawalpindi beat Sialkot 1-0.

Mandi Bahaudin beat Vehari 1-0. Faisalabad outclassed Jhang 4-0 with Zahid, Shahbaz, Luqman and Usman scoring a goal each.

 Shahzad Shafique struck the match-winner to help Attock beat Muzafargarh 1-0.

 The matches between Khanewal vs Layyah, Okara vs Bahawalnagar, Jhelum vs Hafizabad ended in goalless draw.

Bahawalpur beat Kasur 2-1. Naved and Kashif scored a goal each. Ashfaq reduced the margin for Kasur.

Pakpttan beat Multan 2-0 while Rahimyar Khan proved good against Gujrat 3-0 and Mianwali notched up 1-0 win against Gujranwala. Similarly, Mandi Bahadudin beat Jhang 3-1, Muzafargarh beat Bahawalnagar 1-0, Khanewal beat Kasur 3-2.

Sialkot and Sheikhupura finished with 0-0 score while Hafizabad and Lodhran also ended with 1-1.
