BADIN, April 27: The Badin district government is functioning without two executive district officers, two deputy district officers and a district officer.

Several other official posts at district and taluka level are still lying vacant despite the passage of two years to the introduction of the local government system.

A survey conducted by this correspondent revealed that the posts of the EDO, works, the EDO, education, the DO, revenue, the DDO, human resources, and the DDO of another department were lying vacant.

The non-posting of heads of different departments is affecting the performance of the district government.

The office work is piling up as many matters wait for their disposal at union council, taluka and district levels.

NO-CONFIDENCE MOVE: A group of councillors of the union council-1, Badin, the other day sent an application to the DCO to seize accounts of the council and call a council meeting to consider a no-confidence move against the union council Nazim and Naib Nazim.

Out of 19 councillors of the union council, 16 signed the application, including Riaz Ahmad, Asghar Ali, Laiq Ahmad, Mohammad Soomar, Mohammad Hassan, Shabana Memon, Kazbano, Naila Shafiq, Mukhtiar Ali, Mohammad Hashim and Mubarak Soomro.
