Punjab triumph in National Rugby

LAHORE, April 12 Punjab defeated Police 36-0 to win the National Rugby Championship for the Servis Cup at the Punjab Stadium on Sunday.

Punjab were formidable in their technique and skills as Police failed to offer any resistance. Punjab also made three successful tries to gain big margin win.

Wapda came in third beating Islamabad 31-12 in another one-sided match.

There was also a Plate competition final for the fifth and sixth ranked team which went to LUMS after beating Punjab-B 10 to 5.

The Bowl competition was won by first time entrants FATA who beat LUMS-B 12 points to 10.

Khalid Bhatti of the Police was adjudged Player of the Tournament for the second year in succession.
