SRINAGAR, April 26: At least four children drowned and 21 others were missing after a boat carrying students capsized on Saturday in a flooded river in Indian Kashmir, police said.

Rescuers pulled out four bodies from the Puhru river in Kupwara district northwest of Srinagar, a police official told Reuters.

“Six children have been rescued,” the official said. “But heavy rains and high water are hampering rescue operations.”—Reuters
