KARACHI, May 26 Ziauddin Medical University (ZMU), Greenwich, College of Business Management (CBM) and hosts AKU entered the semi-finals of the AKU Inter-university basketball tournament at the AKU Gymnasium on Monday.
The ZMU in their last league game beat the AKU 57-45 with Hawad Chaudhry scoring 21 points. He was well supported by Shaharyar Memon (12). Wasiq Mustafa contributed 19 points for the losers.
Shooters duo of Lavesh Rakhani (26) and Hammad N.D. Khan (24) produced an outstanding performance as the CBM beat Dow University 75-64. Fahad Ahmed (26) top-scored for the losers.
In another match Nust defeated the IBA 61-39.—APP
